Out of hundreds of Web sites, Parents' Source, a family resource guide in the Berks and Lancaster Counties of Pennsylvania, recommended Sparky to be featured in both their print guide and online version for September 20 - November 20 issue as a great site for kids to learn fire safety. (October 2002) 

Surfing the Net with Kids award
"There are so many fun spots (Dalmatian, spots, get it?) here, I can only list a few." The Sparky Web site was reviewed by the "Surfing the Net with Kids" newspaper column and received the highest rating -- five stars. "Surfing the Net with Kids" is syndicated by United Feature Syndicate, and appears in many papers across the U.S. including San Diego, Union-Tribune, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and The Boston Globe. Golden Web AwardThe Sparky® Web site was selected as a 2002-2003 Golden Web Award winner by the International Association of web masters and designers. The Golden Web Awards is presented to those sites whose web design, originality and content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition. (September 2002)
