Earth Day

One of my favorite days of the year is Earth Day. Earth Day, which is April 22, was started to remind people how and why the earth needs to be protected. There are tons and tons of things kids can do to help the earth.

This Month's Cool Activity:
Use this handy dandy Reduce, Reuse, Recycle List to figure out if you, and your family, are playing your part in helping the earth. Ask a grown-up for help if you get stuck! (To download, click on the list and print.)

Earth imageWhat do the three Rs mean anyway?
Reduce: To make something smaller or less.
Reuse: If something can be used again instead of being thrown away
Recycle: To process old items such as glass, plastic, newspapers, and aluminum cans so that they can be used to make new products.
