What can make yummy Thanksgiving dinner even better? A Sparky Menu. It's as
easy as pie, just follow these steps:
1. Check with whoever is making dinner to see what is on the menu.
2. Find out how many people are coming to dinner -- you will need one for each
person.
3. Fold a piece of construction paper in half and decorate the outside with
your favorite fall pictures -- you can even glue some leaves on the cover.
The fun thing about this is you can make everyone's different...make sure you
include thier names on the outside, too.
4. Write the menu on the inside. If you have a computer, type up the menu
and print
it out -- it will save you some time. (ask a grown-up to help if you need
to).
5. I wouldn't be a safety dog if I didn't include some safety messages
-- add one to the front of each menu. Here are some ideas:
Take small bites
Chew chew chew your food
Sit down when eating
Plan and practice a home fire escape plan.
Know what to do when the smoke alarm sounds.
Children ages 12 and under should ride buckled up in the back seat in a child
safety seat, booster seat or safety belt.
